Delivery Driver Helper

Requirements

• Must be able to read and write
• Criminal background check required
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must be able to move/lift up to 170 pounds
• Must be able to report to work on time and remain on the job until all deliveries have been completed and your route settled
• Must wear company uniforms and appearance is to be neat, clean and professional
• Must be able to learn/use handheld computer

Service Representative 

Overview: As a Delivery Driver you will be responsible for the delivery of products to 15-30 stops per day to our customers throughout parts of Washington D.C..  In addition, the Class A CDL Service Representative will unload products & pick up returns as needed by hand truck, while meeting the delivery window to our customers.  The service representative will work with the delivery team to increase company profitability and customer satisfaction by delivering complete, accurate, and on-time deliveries to the company’s customers.  The driver will represent the company in a highly professional, safe, and respectful manner that complies with DOT and other applicable regulations. The driver may or may not have a helper, but for most drivers, the physical aspects of the job are included in the delivery.

Job Duties:

• Prepare each day for operation by confirming beginning inventory, securing items, and communicating any issues.
• Inspect truck tires, lights, fluids, etc. to ensure safe working conditions with preventive maintenance in mind
• Deliver orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customers’ needs
• Maintain communication with company during deliveries in order to prevent problems
• Increase customer satisfaction by collecting information, feedback on service, and resolving complaints per company policy;  communicate information back to company
• Communicate with sales staff and delivery management of any issues with delivery
• Maintain a safe driving record free of violations
• Perform occasional warehouse and counter duties
• Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required
• Follow company policies for the collection of payment
• Follow all other company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Lift/carry/maneuver heavy material or equipment (up to 170 lbs)
• Pass a drug screen and background check
• Valid class A commercial driver’s license and clean driving record
• Education:  High school diploma/GED preferred
• Experience:  Minimum 2 years in similar position preferred but not mandatory

Second Shift Warehouse

Overview: The abilities and expectations of a Second warehouse employee working for Katcef Brothers Incorporated (Katcef Brothers, Capital Eagle, Montgomery Eagle) are based on the ability to pull the loads for the next day’s delivery. This includes the ability to recognize product, stack cases in a manner that is safe and secure, maneuver forklifts in tight spaces in order to pull down or stack product in available racks, wrap pallets with shrink wrap, and load pallets onto rear load and side load trucks for next day delivery.

Roles and Responsibility

• Report for all assigned shifts each and every day on time and prepared to work.
• Clock in and out utilizing a pin and time clock
• Maintain knowledge of code date systems and rotation requirements of all products/suppliers
• Accurately picking orders using printed pick sheets or voice command software (EasyOps)
• Be able to safely and accurately maneuver a forklift or hand jack in tight conditions to pull down or stack pallets
• Maintain forklift certification
• Communication with team members to ensure order pick accuracy and pick rates
• Placing individual cases onto pallets lines while maintaining product quality
• Meeting all productivity and accuracy requirements
• Maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area
• Following standard operating procedures and adhering to all safety standards
• General housekeeping and sanitation tasks will be required
• Must be able to perform tasks efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to communicate and interact well with coworkers and managers
• Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment
• Immediately report every accident or incident to shift supervisor
• Complete attend all required meetings and training
• Any other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Must have the ability to use hands to handle or feel
• must have the ability to properly communicate (speak and hear)
• Frequently required to operate a forklift/ hand jack (Climb onto/off of and operate)
• Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 170 lbs.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, sit, or crawl
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
